RYTON END
7.5MW BESS
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GECL
We're proud to share insights into our latest venture: The 7.5MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) nestled in Barston, Solihull. Spanning approximately 3000m².
We pride ourselves on our ability to navigate complexities and overcome obstacles, with the Ryton End BESS project beeing no exception. Our planning process started in September 2022.
Despite our best effort, we encountered challenges with the local planning authority. We addressed concerns and implemented mitigation measures however, new hurdles emerged, leading to setbacks. While frustrating, each challenge has provided valuable insights and strengthened our resolve to drive positive change.
We understand that progress often requires perseverance. As we continue to advocate for sustainable energy solutions and work towards overcoming regulatory hurdles, we remain committed to our vision of a greener, more resilient future.
Looking ahead, our BESS project serves as a testament to our consultancy's dedication to driving progress and shaping a sustainable future.
Undeterred by the challenges encountered, we are committed to pursuing all available avenues to ensure the success of the Ryton End BESS project. With this in mind, we are actively preparing an appeal against the recent decision by the local planning authority.
Our appeal is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of the project's merits and benefits, as well as a firm belief in the importance of sustainable energy solutions for the community. We are confident that our appeal will provide an opportunity to address any misconceptions or concerns raised during the planning process and to demonstrate the positive impact that the BESS project will have on the local area.
